The Ramona Fire Department sounds the siren when there's a tornado that has been spotted, or reported in neighboring towns.
The Fire Department has trained storm spotters that are vigilant during severe weather.
The City received a $1,000 grant from Walmart, (thanks to the Radke family) to upgrade the Fire Department warning signal; the City and Fire Dept. are working together to accomplish this goal.
